Built for the limits in front of you
Upload forms, online shops and websites all set their own rules for images. PixMino gets yours within them without trial and error.
Hit a file size limit
Set a maximum such as 100 KB. PixMino searches for the highest quality that stays under it, and tells you plainly when it can't.
Convert between formats
Turn iPhone HEIC photos into JPG, PNG into WebP, AVIF into JPG and more. Transparent areas are filled with a colour you choose only when the new format needs it.
Resize to exact pixels
Type a width and the height follows, or set both sides and choose whether to crop, fit on a background or stretch.
A hundred images at once
Apply the same format, size, limit and naming pattern to a whole batch, follow each image's progress and download everything as a ZIP.
Processed on your device
Your image is opened, resized and saved by your own browser. It isn't uploaded, so nobody else ever receives it.
No signup, no watermark
Open the page, fix your image, download it. There's no account and nothing added to your image.
How it works
- 1
Add your images
Drop, choose or paste them. JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF and HEIC up to 50 MB each.
- 2
Choose what it needs
Pick a format, set the dimensions, and add a file size limit if you have one.
- 3
Download the result
Compare it with the original using the slider, then save it to your device.
Supported formats
PixMino opens five formats and saves four. HEIC photos from iPhones are saved as JPG or PNG.
JPG
- Best for
- Photos and images with soft gradients.
- Transparency
- Not supported.
- Compression
- Lossy, with adjustable quality.
PNG
- Best for
- Screenshots, logos and graphics with sharp edges or text.
- Transparency
- Supported.
- Compression
- Lossless. Can use fewer colours where the change is invisible.
WebP
- Best for
- Websites that need small files.
- Transparency
- Supported.
- Compression
- Lossy, usually smaller than JPG at similar quality.
AVIF
- Best for
- The smallest photo files for modern websites.
- Transparency
- Supported.
- Compression
- Lossy, often smaller than WebP. Slower to create.
HEIC
- Best for
- Photos taken on iPhone and iPad. Opened by PixMino, saved as JPG or PNG.
- Transparency
- Not used by camera photos.
- Compression
- Lossy and very efficient, but poorly supported outside Apple devices.
AVIF and HEIC use codecs downloaded the first time you need them; after that they work offline. Animated images are converted as a single frame.

Questions
Does PixMino upload my images?
No. Your browser opens, resizes and compresses the image on your device. PixMino has no upload server, and the site's security policy stops the page from sending data to other websites.
How do I compress an image under 100 KB?
Add your image, choose 100 KB under File size limit, and select Optimize image. PixMino tries different quality levels and keeps the highest one that produces a file of 100 KB or less. If that isn't possible at the current dimensions, it says so and offers to reduce the dimensions, allow stronger compression or try another format.
Does reducing file size reduce quality?
Usually a little. JPG, WebP and AVIF get smaller by discarding detail that's hard to see. At moderate settings the difference is difficult to spot; very small limits can show blur or blocky areas. Use the comparison slider before you download. For images shown small on screen, reducing the dimensions often saves more space with less visible loss. PNG is lossless unless you allow fewer colours.
Can I convert WebP to JPG?
Yes. Add a WebP image and choose JPG as the format. JPG doesn't support transparency, so any transparent areas are filled with white unless you pick another colour.
Can I process several images at once?
Yes. Switch to Batch, add up to 100 images, set the format, dimensions, limit and file names once, and download the results as a ZIP.
Can I convert iPhone HEIC photos?
Yes, to JPG or PNG. Safari decodes HEIC itself; in other browsers PixMino downloads its HEIC decoder the first time. The photo itself is never uploaded.
Is PixMino free?
Yes. There's no account, no watermark and no limit on how many images you optimize.
What does PixMino count as a kilobyte?
1 KB is 1,000 bytes. A 100 KB limit therefore produces a file of at most 100,000 bytes, which also fits forms that count 1 KB as 1,024 bytes.
Does PixMino keep photo metadata?
No. The new file contains only the image. Camera details and location data stored in the original (EXIF) aren't copied to it.
